// What to Expect
[ frequently asked questions ]
When do you worship and for how long? Sunday mornings at 10.00am for 90 minutes.
What happens when you gather for worship? Our worship gathering is a time to set aside for singing songs of praise to God, prayer and teaching from the Bible. We stick around after worship to chat over some coffee. We're happy to have visitors join us, but we won't single you out or draw attention to you.
Is there a dress code? No. Our worship gathering is a pretty casual atmosphere. Like most churches, there is a variety as some people like to dress nice for church, while many prefer to wear comfortable clothes. We recognize that it's not our dress, but our attitudes that matter as we come to worship.
Do I need to be a member to attend? No. Anyone is welcome to join us for worship.
Am I expected to give money? No. We don't expect our visitors to give money. Joining us for worship is all the gift we want. Our covenant members and adherents do give to the church as part of their worship.
What about my kids? We have a staffed nursery available during worship for newborn to 3 year olds. Kids in pre-school to grade 4 are dismissed part way through worship for their own age-appropriate worship time at Kids Company.
Is the church building wheelchair accessible? Yes. The entire lower floor of the building is wheelchair accessible, and the welcoming team would be happy to assist you when you arrive.
Where can I learn more about Christianity and Tsawwassen Alliance Church? The Gospel Class is a 6 week small group class that meets on Sunday mornings to discuss the basics of the Christian faith. If you want to learn more about Jesus and Christianity, this is an excellent place to meet other people over good discussion. If you're interested, send us an email at office[at]tsawwassenalliance.org. The Covenant Class is a 5 week small group class that meets on Sunday mornings to explore what it means to belong to TAC. We discuss our values and beliefs as a church, covenant membership and the significance of baptism and communion. This is a great place to learn what it means to be a part of Tsawwassen Alliance Church. This is also a great step towards baptism and church membership.
How can I get to know other people? We strongly encourage everyone to get connected into a Community Group. This is a small group of people who meet in homes to discuss life and scripture and to share their lives together.
What does it mean to be "alliance"? Tsawwassen Alliance Church is part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. You can learn more about the C&MA here: http://cmalliance.ca/aboutuss2.php
